Corporate Social Responsibility

Banking with purpose — how Atlas Union Bank invests in the communities, families and children who need it most.

OUR COMMITMENT

Why a Bank Invests in Community

At Atlas Union Bank, we believe that a financial institution's responsibility does not end at the balance sheet. The same discipline, trust and long-term thinking that guide our banking services also guide how we give back — to the families struggling to make ends meet, the children growing up without parental care, and the communities rebuilding after disaster.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme is not a marketing exercise. It is a structured, accountable commitment of staff time, financial resources and institutional expertise toward causes that strengthen the societies in which we operate — particularly around poverty alleviation, child welfare and emergency relief.

WHERE WE FOCUS

Our Four Pillars of Impact

Every initiative we fund is anchored in one of four areas where we believe sustained investment changes lives.

Education

Scholarships, school supplies and infrastructure support for underserved schools and learners.

Healthcare

Medical outreach camps, clinic equipment donations and health awareness campaigns.

Poverty Alleviation

Food relief, livelihood grants and micro-support for families facing economic hardship.

Child Welfare

Sustained support for children's homes, covering essentials, education and care.

CHILD WELFARE PROGRAMME

Caring for Children's Homes

Children growing up without parental care deserve stability, dignity and a path forward. Through our long-running partnership with registered children's homes and care institutions, Atlas Union Bank provides recurring support covering essential needs — nutrition, healthcare, schooling materials and safe living conditions.

We work directly with the management of each home rather than individual children, ensuring funds are used responsibly and consistently, and that every contribution is accounted for through verified partner organisations.

  • Quarterly provisioning of food, clothing and hygiene essentials
  • School fee and learning material sponsorships
  • Facility upgrades for safer, healthier living spaces

RAPID RESPONSE

Disaster Relief Initiatives

When floods, fires or other emergencies strike the communities we serve, Atlas Union Bank activates a rapid-response relief fund alongside our branch network and partner agencies. We coordinate emergency shelter support, clean water access and essential supplies for affected households.

Beyond immediate relief, we contribute toward medium-term recovery — helping small traders and households rebuild — because resilience is built well after the headlines fade.

OUR PEOPLE IN ACTION

Employee Volunteer Programme

Giving back is built into our culture. Every staff member is given paid volunteer days each year to serve causes they care about.

Paid Volunteer Days

Staff across every branch are granted dedicated paid days each year to volunteer with our partner organisations.

Team Outreach Days

Branch teams organise quarterly visits to children's homes and community centres, combining hands-on help with mentorship.

Payroll Giving

Employees can opt into payroll-deducted giving, matched by the Bank, channelled directly into active relief campaigns.
